One of the "classic" palindromes.

Shot in late afternoon, backlit to over-expose to fade the horizon and bridge, finished them off with some Curves adjustments and a little dodging/burning and cloning to make the island stand out a bit more. Tricky having to model myself -- used the 10-second timer to allow time to prefocus, re-frame, and get into position.

-RGB Curve to BG
-Channel-mixer to monochrome mode

I like the buttons- and the metal frame is a nice touch. a classic palindrome.(btw, Napolean was Italian!- but you knew that!)

Well framed, I like the hand clutching at the crutch, foreboding. I too had thoughts of Napoleon or Garibaldi.

The jacket looks quite Napoleanic.

I see you went all the way with the "able" symbolism. I like the composition, putting the action at the edges of the frame.

Love this. The slight overexposure works great. The man on the crutch, a nice touch. Love the shot.

Wonderful take on this! I couldn't figure out how to shoot that palindrome.

I like the vantage point of this, the blown highlights spoil it for me a bit though.
