well ... so far my photo is getting slammed because people dont understand the title ... yet in the details for the photo explains the the title ... so ... those who arent familiar with the subject of my photo wont understand ... oh well .. that's the price i pay for trying to be creative - and knowing the "product" ... and here i thought this submission was my most creative and "brightest" ... hmmmm maybe next time ...

so .. when are the comments and people's names coming back?? :)

You can still be creative AND create a picture that people will understand. Just because your creatity in this case wasn't understood shouldn't stop you from being very creative on the next challenge. Be who you are a try to figure out ways to convey your message.

Exactly Tim,

Don't let frustration change your goals. Learn to make small modifications in your approach and/or style to reach a larger audience. That usually means polishing your photo skills and artistic impact.

For instance, my last photo seemed to strike a chord with folks and I got some cool feedback. If I were to reshoot I think I have some idea how to slightly modify the photo to get a broader appeal but keep my own style.

The difference it seems between the really good photographers and the learning ones is that the good photographers have simply polished their style enough that they can appeal even to folks who might not like their overall style but appreciate their skill and perspective.

Thats my big goal here...:-)
