All you need to do is not run when they are coming after us. It can be safe, if you keep your head. I am also not talking about a bar either. Basic survival stats are good. Will not lie though, about 80% of the fatal attacks and 90% of cougar attacks occur there. You will get some excellent shots up to the point where they are attacking us and I will fend them off, so you may get some really cool stuff. Just remember they can kill a 600 lb bull moose, so no silly stuff. Plus, I do not plan on dieing so. Anyone interested? It will be on Vancouver Island between lake Cowichan and and Sooke on the old logging roads. I may get busted by my fiance, so ... you may have to fend them off while I stay in the car :-)

Yup, they are cool. They have had some weeks out of their long sleeps, so they will not attack. Well, if they do not have cubs and you get between them.

Don't know for sure, but I've heard that there's been a troll spotted in the forest there on occasion...

I know a club in San Francisco where you can get bears and cougars in close proximity. And yes, it can be very dangerous. If attacked by cougars, stay still and get big, yell and flap your arms. If approached by bears, do NOT turn your back and curl up, this only excites them.

LoL. I must admit I read the title to this post and was laughing at the comments I had not even read yet :-) but enjoy your shoot and do share the pictures sounds exciting.

No cougars and went the week after I originally planned. One image as I am at a coffee shop more later as/if time permits.
