Saludos.

Ok..

I want to ask something about Sony F717, I just bought one a few weeks a go but, I have seen than when a shoot in automatic mode the pictures, in majority are a little out of focus, it is normal in this cameras? To be true I am beginning in photography and I hope than the problem is me jaja.. and my camera is perfectly normal.

I bought the camera because I have seen a lot of photos of this cameras and they are excellent, I dont know if the camera itself could give me that quality or if I need some extra software or hardware.

I really appreciate your help.
Thanks.

Some of the very first F717's had a focus issue, but only in low light conditions when the laser assisted HAF focus was switching on. Many of those camera's were recalled and repaired and after that no further general focus issue was reported.

If you bought it new, you should not have that issue.

Note that the area used for focussing is the middle part of the image, where the cross is, so be sure to point that at the point you want in focus, then press the shutter halfway (keep it pressed) and then compose your image and press the shutter fully.

It would help if you can post a few examples.

Hi Willem, and, in fact my camera is brand new, I will try to post some examples in the afternoon.

Thanks for your help and I will do the things you said.

I found out now that your F717 has more autofocus possibilities than my F707, not just a crosshair in the middle. Check here at dpreview.

You should take a look at the shutter speeds from the Auto mode to see if they were lower then they should be for hand holding the camera. Does this problem happen in bright light and low light? Have you tested this with a tripod to eliminate the camera shake factor? In lower light situations you need to pay close attention to the shutter speeds and often you will need to increase the ISO to compensate. Hope this helps.
