Purely out of curiosity, if you have a couple minutes, answer the following questions:

1) How many fruits do you eat a day?
2) How many times a day do you have vegetables?
3) Do you drink soft drinks (cola/pop such as pepsi) (if not what do you drink)?
4) Do you eat meat (if so, about how many times per week)?

Feel free to go into detail if you wish on any of the questions. This is purely out of curiosity...

My girlfriend and I were talking about olympic athletes, and I'm thinking that most of them probably don't drink soda more often than a time or two a month and probably eat 5+ fruits/veges a day, every day...then I got to thinking how many 'normal' people out there do the same...

1. I maybe eat one or 2 fruits a day.
2. Everything else I eat is vegetables.
3. Don't drink pop, I drink a LOT of Orange juice and 2 glasses of milk a day
4. I don't eat meat. If I do...it's only because we have a large family meal such as thanksgiving or christmas or if I have a special dinner outing with someone. So maybe 3 or 4 times a year do I eat meat including chicken and fish.

I'm not a very healthy person, I've had a lot of internal issues, but I think I'd be a lot worse off if I ate 'badly'.

I eat a few servings of fruit a day.

I eat most of my veggies at dinner time, but occasionally I eat snack veggies.

I think soft drinks are evil. An easy way to gain weight, and rotten the teeth.

I don't eat much red meat or pork at all. I will eat exotics like emu, buffalo, venisine, and if it has feathers, or swims it's a meal as well.

I usually make a soy shake every morning especially before work. It's real easy to gain weight when working every day in my biz.

I am a soy lover.

I drink to get drunk.

1) How many fruits do you eat a day?
at least 2, usually 3 or 4, but sometimes it's in dried or frozen form

2) How many times a day do you have vegetables?
usually a minimum of 6 or 8 servings a day

3) Do you drink soft drinks (cola/pop such as pepsi) (if not what do you drink)?
yeah, more than I ought to. have a weakness for Dr. Pepper and coke. try not to drink it regular (maybe 3-4 times a week). mostly drink water, decaf tea, whole milk (prefer organic raw whole milk), juices, herbal teas, an occasional coffee.

4) Do you eat meat (if so, about how many times per week)?
if by meat you mean animal protein, then at nearly every meal. in order of preference: chicken/turkey, beef, dairy protein, pork, eggs, fish.
don't typically care for tofu, veggie burgers, etc.

also, I tend to stay away from most artificial colors and flavors (because of food allergies in the family) and I absolutely refuse to use margarine. Olive oil, sunflower oil, butter, coconut oil, and lard are my fats of choice - and all of them are used pretty sparingly.

i try to have three fruit servings...
some days its not that many ... some days its none

veggies... well :blush: i try to get one in a day ..

i drink water, and coffee... ooo I forgot Propel too

i eat almsot exclusively Chicken... with small amounts of lean beef and pork per week

1.) Maybe 2 or 3
2.) About the same as fruits, 2 or 3
3.) Not much at all, maybe once or twice a week if at all. Usually I go for water or Powerade.
4.) Yup, I like my meat and have it at almost every meal.

apparently DPC is pretty healthy by the looks of it...

for me:

1.) I love fruit....but I hardly ever eat it. I did have a banana this morning though, that was good
2.) I love veggies and try to eat at least 2-3 servings a day
3.) I work at a restaraunt and we get free pop....so I drink probably 60-80 ounces of Mountain Dew a day...
4.)I love meat...everything but fish. I had chicken for lunch and steak for dinner.

Overall....I am a college student, therefore I eat crappy most of the time. But I have a great metabolism and I excercise a decent amount, therefore I am only 160lbs at 6'

Ahhh...the joys of being young

1- atleast one
2 - 4 or 5 because I don't like fruit
3 - I drink green or white tea most of the day, but allow myself one red Mt. Dew most days
4- meat some ammount most days

That said - I'm not a health nut. I eat yogurt for breakfast every day along with hot tea, lunch is a lean pocket - any variety and dinner is mostly veggies, but I will eat "normally" when I'm with friends or eating out. "Normally" meaning same dishes as others, but I never finish resturant portions - they're insane.

i try to but after a week i feel starved of fatty foods. i love red meat! i eat veggies and fruit everyday. drink lots of water too, but i wouldnt say its healthy. maybe if i had the appetite of an anorexic. but no, i eat as if i were 300 lbs. gotta have that cheese steak!

Rarely any.

once, unless slimfast bars count.

One can per day. I mostly drink water, milk and crystal light.
4) Do you eat meat (if so, about how many times per week)?
Yes, daily, meat good!

My diet consists of slimfast bars for breakfast and lunch mon-fri and I eat what ever I want for dinner and on the weekends. Works really well for me. When working out I lose a pound a week and when not working out I maintain the same weight.

Usually one before breakfast, or for breakfast.

Once.. with dinner

Yes. Usually a few cans a day at work.

4) Do you eat meat (if so, about how many times per week)?
Yes, few times per week.

I don't eat super healthy, but my mom makes pretty healthy stuff for dinner and we usually just have a fruit smoothie for breakfast.
I'm not fat though, 5'11 and 140lb.. I try to ride a lot when the weather is decent so I don't turn into a couch potatoe

2) How many times a day do you have vegetables? None if I can help it...I'm a non-vegetarian. Thank goodness for vitamins!

3) Do you drink soft drinks (cola/pop such as pepsi)? One mini can every other day or so, otherwise lots of water and fruit juices

4) Do you eat meat (if so, about how many times per week)? I'm a meat and potatoes woman. Meat 4-5 time a week...although I do wonder how much of the Lean Cuisine "meats" are real meat. Lol.

I am happy to say I eat what I want. When I feel the need to junk, I do so. I love all vegies, I love all fruit, my fav is seafood of almost any kind and fish (but not salmon ewww), I drink diet coke, decaf coffee and merlot and I can't tell you how much of anything I do on a daily basis. For years, (despite having 4 kids) I have maintained a weight of 92 lbs without trying so I figure I must be doing it right and I'm not going to change a thing :)

1. Yes. Usually a banana with breakfast and apples/grapes for snacks.
2. I try to have a salad with lunch and <fill in the blank> with dinner.
3. RARELY do I drink soft drinks. Almost always water, iced tea (no sugar) or coffee. Oh, and I've been known to partake in a barley pop now and then. :)
4. Yes, daily. I'm a seafood fan and try to have salmon 2-3 times a week. I also enjoy a nice steak.

I'm really not at all picky about food.

1.Usually 1 fruit a day.
2.Salad with something at luchtime and 2 vegetables at night with dinner.
3.Don't usually drink soft drinks at all, sometimes diet coke (I'm type 1 diabetic) about 2-3 cups of tea and lots of water.
4.A variety...Chicken, lamb, pork, beef, fish, prawns but something at every dinner. At lunch I can make do with cheese or eggs or tofu. And every meal has some form of carbohydrates in them like rice, bread, pasta, potatoes.

1. Probably 1 real fruit a day, but I live on fruit juice
2. Maybe 1 or 2 vegetables a day
3. I never ever drink soda. Always juice, chai, and tea.
4. I've haven't eaten a speck of meat in a long time and don't plan on it anytime soon. I call myself a vegetarian but I know some people dont consider you one if you eat poultry or fish- I will very rarely eat fish if I am in a situation where there is nothing else I can eat (like out to dinner with limited menu or at a party), but I never eat poultry, I love birdies :) in fact, thanksgiving day is the day I decided to go veg 4 years ago
Primarily, I live on soy foods and carbohydrates. mmmmmmmm carbs

Rarely. I drink tea at work, or if someone offers me one, and occasionally fruit juice but mainly its good plain ol' water

4) Do you eat meat (if so, about how many times per week)?
Not much, maybe 3 times a month. I'd ever bother if I was cooking myself, veggie alternatives are so much easier (and cheaper)

I usually eat lots of fruit and veggies

I like pop and drink alot of diet pop

Im into body building so I eat about 2 pounds or more of meat a day, more than 6 eggs a day, a litre or more of milk, and about 100 grams of soybean powder.

This may sound like alot but I try and eat between 3500 and 5000 calories a day when bulking the average for a mid sized man would be about 2000 - 2500 calories.

The only way to gain proper wait IE muscle is to eat alot of meat and protein. The only part of my diet that is unhealthy is I have a sweet tooth, thought right now I am sticking to a relatively low carb diet, Im not eating as much because I am trying to cut some fat off my body (going to the tropics next month).

I dunno, usually 3 or 4. Usually a banana w breakfast, an apple after lunch and maybe something late afternoon.

2) How many times a day do you have vegetables?

Not as many as I should, but I try to have salad with Lunch and Dinner. I really hate most cooked/canned vegetables though and sometimes it's hard to get decent produce here in winter.

3) Do you drink soft drinks (cola/pop such as pepsi) (if not what do you drink)?

Yes, but only diet and I try not to drink more than 2/day. I also drink a lot of coffee and water.

4) Do you eat meat (if so, about how many times per week)?

Yes, every damn day. I try to stick with mostly lean cuts (chicken breast, lean beef, turkey, fish etc) and only eat things like bbq brisket, ribs, pulled pork, sausages etc rarely. In a way, it's a shame, because I make some damn fine barbecue, but if I ate it all the time, I'd weigh about 600lb.

2) How many times a day do you have vegetables? 3, at least two meals, more than one veggie per meal

3) Do you drink soft drinks (cola/pop such as pepsi) (if not what do you drink)? Never soda, only water, one cup of coffee in the morning, water all day and at every meal, rarely beer, even rarer liquor, never wine, never high fructose syrup juices, never power drinks or any of that junk...just water

4) Do you eat meat (if so, about how many times per week)? Rarely...turkey on sandwiches if I have to have one, chicken for dinner 1 or 2 a month, fish a few times a month, beef as rarely as I can get away with...usually twice a year (when I have to go to mom's for dinner)

Also, I never eat junk food of any kind - candy, chips, pretzels, cookies, donuts, twinkies, etc. Never eat white bread unless I have no choice. Eat as few processed foods as I can. I shop for my food every day and eat what I buy that day. I keep very little food of any kind in the house. I almost never eat leftovers (very rarely have them anyway). Cupboards, freezer, refrigerator are all mostly empty.

In the winter about one a day, in the summer about three a day

About two servings a day. I don't drink much milk so I like getting my calcium from leafy greens

About once a week. I really don't care for it that much

About twice a week. Then chicken about three times a week and fish twice a week.
