Opened this morning on a 6.1
Dropped to a 5.5 with a DQ request...

Not at all as planned

At least, now I have two comments that are really constructive so I can learn more.

PS It went from 5.12 at first hour, to this

Instead of pulling away from the challenge though, I gave it a shot. I just want to keep my above 5.0 streak alive. We'll see, I've almost gotten worse with every challenge I enter...

I wonder if your pic is the one I'm thinking of. There was one I was curious as to how it was done, but considered it innocent until proven guilty...

So... what score are you on? *hides*

Nah, on stage shots don't win ribbons, they win girls hearts. :-)

Didn't see you bring any girls home at the festival though. :)

Haha, you did. I do however think I'm the first one you dragged home that didn't mind listening to Peps Persson's Hög Standard being blasted out all night. :)

Great festival we had.

Great festival, good times.

Got a score talking about distracting parts of the photo. Unless you have a single shot of a lead singer with nothing in the background, isnt the nature of "live" a bit more busy overall??

Not complaining, just wondering.

Geez, hope that wasn't mine. :) I have mentioned those in comments. At least in my opinion, although I'm well aware you can't climb on stage and move that damn amp, it still is a reason why the photo isn't a "10". Some photos are excellent because luck was with you and things in the background you had no control over happened to fall your way.

Although I can't blame you (or anybody else) for things out of your control, I can't reward you either. If the element is distracting, it's distracting. If you couldn't have changed it, then it's a bummer for the pic, but no reflection on your skill.

No,you liked mine. LOL

I know what you're saying. I gave people more leeway with this challenge though, ya know. But art is subjective, so....

Bob, you still over 7? Seems like the score took a big drop during the night here. :-\
08/18/2005 06:52:54 AM · #40
Yeah, it's dropped about 0.5! Hmph :-(

My photograph is totally misunderstood. I can understand the comments, but my first idea about "live music" is a plugged in instrument. That point make the "live music" differ from "playback music".

Ok, now I know for further challenges, what to focus on... :-(

I'm a first timer also. The addiction and anticipation is getting to much, anyone know some way of taking my mind of the challenge? :)

Got as high as 6.4, down to 6.0. Still the highest I've ever been. I'm starting to feel my nose bleeding.

Shouldn't have submitted this photo, but it's better to try than to not. It's the only way I'm going to get better.

I'm crushed. I woke up yesterday morning to a score of 6.2. I was really hoping for a strong showing after my Time Capsule bomb. But it's dropped down to 5.8 :( Not that 5.8 is a horrible score . . . .but when it's been 6.2, it is very discouraging. sniffle sniffle.
