Minimal...that ought to be pretty interesting to see how much it forces us to pretty up that dark corner!

I don't get it. Are we supposed to photograph our computer? |

if it's minimal, there is no computer. |

I'm not sure I get it, either... |

Jeb, I haven't the foggiest idea what this challenge is about. |

Create an image of the place you call your "Digital Darkroom". The place you find yourself, sometimes overcome with awe and wonder; the place where sometimes you wish you could swear in multiple languages.
There's the chair, the box, the monitor, and various accoutrements and talismans that make it specifically yours.

I get it, but I don't get it. And I certainly won't participate, at least at minimal. Not everyone has a fixed space for this (I don't), and without the ability to do some sort of editing it's not even worth the time and effort to try and frame it. |

We have done this subject before. It's entertaining to see the space given to the computer where (at the very least) people upload their photos to this site. I went to challenge history to try to find it but gave up. No search function. I keep forgetting.
The thing is, you can't call it 'Digital Darkroom' because literally that's the software of your choice, & also because people use their computer for so many other things--entertainment, banking, blogging, financials, as well as artistic self-expressions of all kinds. And it puts a big challenge on people who edit from an iPad or a laptop, or a smartphone to create something that would look like a computer workspace for the challenge.

I found it by looking in my own challenge entries, but it wasn't a workspace challenge, it was a FURNITURE challenge! I misremembered.

Oh, I misunderstood.
Thought the challenge was about utilizing darkroom style techniques during the capture to get effects not normally seen in minimal editing. |

It's not "Digital Darkroom" - it's "Digital 'Darkroom'", with the idea being to show the place where you do your "digital image making", but with minimal editing. |

How can I compete against someone who has a digital darkroom?
Doesn't seem fair. |

Weird but nice subject. Gave my own interpretation, so I'm in. But I've still no clue if it fits the challenge. |

Hope my interpretation doesn't get "negative" reviews
