Ask him to name 3 films that have floored him through their cinematography

What is his favourite film genre?

Does his Camera have a pet name? ;)

famous documentary (film) director, or famous photographer?

Bear, that "almost cult-like popularity" seems to be a feature of communities like DPC and has been attached to a series of photographers here over the years from Setzler to Heida to Kiwiness to Librodo to Joey and many many more. In a learning environment like this where many members seem to have a very limited exposure to photography outside of DPC (and would probably benefit from having that wider exposure) when they are exposed to the talent these individuals posess they are perhaps even more floored by it than those of us who have that wider exposure to photography. I'm still amazed by their work and admire (and covet) their talent but tend to see it in a different context so am less of a hero-worshipper!

I too would be very intrigued to read Joey's own response on how he handles the BS and the petty nastiness associated with this.

I'd be interested in hearing in Joey's own words how he feels about the "controversy" that surrounds his almost cult-like popularity in DPC. Why does he think he has become so popular? How does he feel about the people who seem determined to tear him down or at least minimize his work's creativity/originality?

He's still quite young, of course, and I know at his age I'd have had a difficult time coping with the BS attacks; but he's handled them admirably IMO. So I'd be interested in his take on all this.

1) Joey has developed a style that is quite well known here on DPC. Joey never claimed to have invented the style nor that it is unique (though, from some of the comments in threads, you'd think he had made both claims!) Did he come to his version of this style purely by trial and experimentation or was he also inspired by the work of others, and if so, whom and how?

2) Where does he see himself in 1, 5 and 10 years time or perhaps, the best question might be, where does he hope to see himself?

3) It's usually his post-processing style that gets most attention here but I'm always struck by the ideas he has for content. Who would think to lie on the floor amidst broken light bulbs with an intact bulb in one's hand? Can he shed any light on how these ideas for content come about?

4) And of course all the normal stuff about which of his own pictures i) is his favourite ii) is the one he feels is most underrated iii) took most effort...

5) What are his top 5 images on DPC by other photographers?

...These are great! Also...

1) How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a Toosie Pop?

2) What is it like to be a genius?

3) Why are they called "buildings" when they are already built. Shouldn't they be called "Builts"?

4) Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

Thanks!

...am I a lesbian?

If Joey was in a vehicle moving at the speed of light and he turned on the vehicles headlights...would they do anything?

I Joey put instant coffee in a microwave oven...would he go back in time?
