Hurrah for Hiho

I found it thoughtful of Ubique to post his comments in order of his top picks. Scrolling through his comments from beginning to end became a kind of guided walk-about through this challenge. I'd buy this book too. A mild disappointment that he did not enter an image but I confess that his words have long since stolen my heart far more than his photography. I am sure such a statement will invite a cat pounce or two from his most staunch photography fans, but that is okay. More for the second mouse who always gets that damn cheese! Notably, I did miss entries from bspurgeon, whiteroom, and yanko . No doubt, they were all too busy pirating new Game of Thrones episodes. Well, of my two cents...that's The End.

One of my greatest little pleasures here is when I receive 2 comments that conflict with each other on the same aspect of an entry.

I looked through the entire challenge after the voting was over, and I really enjoyed the photos where Paul's opinion and mine diverged greatly, including yours. It was a learning experience. After all, images change the more you look at them.

Paul, you have written enough to fill an entire book. I would buy that book :)

Oh, I know that. I just thought it was an interesting comment. I think a lot of people stayed out of this challenge because they really couldn't figure out what it was about.

I simply entered something that I found interesting and seemed to suit. You appear to have been so-so on it, but it did well with both popular appeal and Ubique. One thing this forum proves is the adage that "you can't please everybody".

Only second? I'd say you have neglected your brown side.

It was a great challenge nevertheless.

I wish I had more time to comment on more entries. More importantly, I wish I had the commentary skills of Ubique and some others here as the images I have seen are wonderful and thought provoking.

This is a very good series of photographs, the best I have seen in a long time.
I am travelling and busy at the moment and so far I have commented on 0 of 85 images...but I would have enjoyed to do so.

When I get that infrequent comment from him, he has usually seen something in my photo that I didn't. He's even seen things in entries that I thought were nothing but typical eye candy.

A daunting task but I was determined to comment on all. The commenting really does open your eyes to see things you would otherwise pass over. My hat is off to Ubique and his remarkable ability to tell a story with his comments and do it so eloquently. There are so many unique and interesting images.

Sandy...wholeheartedly, I echo this thought. Although, I confess to feel a bit like a raggedy old zombie wandering these halls.

Upon the setting of this challenge, I'll sink back into my comfy coffin (slowly...per GeneralE's instruction), and thank you all for the thoughtful comments (but maybe not for my crappy score).

Of course not close to the Paul Squared's comments, still it was more of a privilege than an effort to put down thoughts to all the entries.

Thanks for participating, and really showing your interesting sides.
