Just wondering how others feel about this. I did crop it first with the whole flower showing with no petals cropped off but I liked it much more with this crop. What are your thoughts/comments?

Thanks!

Can you post the other one with it so we can compare the two? Just curious... :o)

Unfortunately I'm not at home and do not have the file to upload.

I like it a lot. I would, of course, like seeing the other one, too. My monitor here at work makes everything look a little gray/dulled, so I am pretty sure that your picture is actually bold, crisp white. The only thing that would keep this from being a "9 or 10" with me (if it were a challenge) is that we are spoiled here at DPC with so many beautiful flower shots, it isn't the ONLY one like it (which is not a bad thing -- just that we realy are spoiled, us flower lovers!).

It's very lovely. The focus, colors and DOF are just right. I, too, would like to see what it looked like in the first crop. I do like this crop a lot, your eye doesn't itch to see the whole flower. Sometimes, when things are too closely cropped my eyes just itch to see the whole picture.

I think in this case the crop works. We dont lose anything by not seeing the rest of the petals but we gain all that detail. The droplets are perfect and it is a very nice shot
