| Very creative. I think if Olympus really did an ad series like that, they would have to be careful with the font. I'm sure Canon has their distictive font copyrighted. |

AS I understand it, fonts are not copyrightable. Font names are. Trademarks are and the Can, might be construed as part of the trademark. (Since it uses the font, the color, and part of the name.) Competitors can be mentioned and shown in advertising. Often shied away from because it can start feuds, and also remind potential buyers that there are other choices.
Personally, I thought they were funny, and very well done.

Yes, that's the 10-1200mm f1.4 pancake lens everyone's raving about. ;) |
