These are all very impressive! What shutter speeds do you need for pics like these? I've been trying to do this a couple of weeks ago:



but didn't have enough light so I think my shutter speed was too low. Also, I had LOTS of trouble focusing. Maybe I should try more, but any tips to speed up the learning curve are much appreciated!

Nicole, the first of my shots above has a reasonable amount of shooting detail. i'm sure others have other tricks, but that was the way i shot at that time.

Those details are helpful, thanks! What puts me off a little though is the 300 shots you took...

Not as put off as if you'd actually looked at them all. as with most photography - patience is the secret weapon. It's worth it when you get the good shot.
