I was wondering if the color is off on this. I've been having to edit on a laptop that's not calibrated. Or...is the lower score because the focusing looks sharper on the basket than on his face?

Both, I think. His face does appear somewhat soft and overly reddish. I tried editing on my netbook a couple of months back while I was traveling. I gave up as the screen was pathetic for accurate photo editing. It was ok for reviewing and perhaps casual snapshots. |

I agree, and the lad's back is too bright or washed out. Honestly, this doesn't look like your usual high quality work. |

I'll second the red face and the washed out back. It appears the blue is pumped up because the grass looks bluish green. Could it be a bad white balance maybe?? Is this shot in JPG mode? Perhaps you can go back and fix it in RAW... |

I shot it in RAW. But like I said, this laptop isn't calibrated. As soon as I can get on my other computer, I'm going to try and fix it. I think it can be done a little better. It was a quick shot at an Easter egg hunt and he cried through the whole thing. LOL |

Yeah I agree. I hurt my back and I can't sit at the desktop pc right now. I should have at least put it up on the big, calibrated monitor and checked it out when I was finished. I didn't realize the laptop was so off(and my focus)! Live and learn! |
