I've given Langdon a kick, and he's currently working on fixing this little bug. Shouldn't be too long now... :)

EDIT: looks like it might be done, can you please both retest?

it's been restored to how it should be. that's lightning quick.

That's what a fresh cup of coffee can do for you ;)

Doubly confirmed. :-)

This is probably a very dumb question but when I looked at the standings I noticed that some teams have percentages already. Shouldn't we all still be at zero?

Linky for those (like me) too lazy to do the cut-n-paste. :)

It's not possible to vote on teammates' entries. Which is fine. It would be nice to still be able to leave comments on them though.

You can comment...just use the little text icon next to the photo in the thumbnail view.

Thank you, I didn't know that.

How do I change a team member? One person on my team can't participate any longer and I have found a new player to replace him. I sent in a ticket to SC but we really need him NOW! :)

What in the CRAP is going on with all these basic editing challenges? I'm sorry to say that this years DPL sucks.

But 2 sports challenges? I mean why don't we all just get out our point and shoots and just shoot the images in the smallest Jpeg the camera takes...

The way I look at it DPC is going down hill fast and the DPL is a way to bring it back. Basic editing challenges isn't the way to do it. I say let the people that don't pay for advanced get a taste of the luxury we have with advanced editing which may get them to pay for a membership.

I'm all for having different types of editing challenges but come on, we just started a site wide competition, have more advanced editing challenges at least during the season.

I am happy about the expert editing challenge but so far has been the best thing about the DPL.

The only thing that sucks is your negativity. Some people will always find fault, the site has not been better with record number of entries in challenges and some of the best photographers in the history of the site returning and have a look at the quality of entries in the challenges...superb.

Stop being negative and looking for problems just enjoy the fantastic images we have on display or even better go and do some commenting.

Personally, I think we've had a pretty good mix of challenge types thus far, and not so easy either IMO!

I think Langdon should do a Bokeh challenge during the DPL - those are ALWAYS good for the "what is bokeh" exchange of info. :-D

Actually, the challenges make sense to me. You've got a sports challenge for those with access to teams, and "without people" to those that don't.

Oh, for pete's sake! The first week ALL the challenges were Advanced. This week we have an Expert editing challenge. They most certainly haven't all been basic. I'm hoping for a minimal editing challenge at some point as well.

I have to agree with Karmat. It seems that the weeks so far have been those with access to people/models and those that do not. I think it's a great strategy. Some of the topics...eh...but the strategy itself is great and I hope they keep it beyond DPL.

In general, I agree, though I can't help but feel that making "BW Landscape" a basic editing challenge was a little ridiculous, because if there's anything that NEEDS advanced editing to sing, that's it. Really first-rate B/W work requires a lot of spot editing, unless you really, really luck upon a scene that's just exactly right for simple conversion. Still, it's the same challenge for all of us, and never mind that I seem to have failed at it :-)

From the FAQ for DPL:

6 - Can I change my team (or change someone in my team) during the season?

In general, teams are allowed only one change in member during a complete season. If more than one is required, contact the SC and explain why the change needs to happen.

"More statistics coming soon"

Actually, our team page currently shows:
Highest Rated Photographs (that counted, from DPL Season 2).

It's nice to have those four photos, but it would be great to be able to see the top four photos for each week. Is that in the plans?

For the team section labeled "Entries from All Seasons", I'd like to have a "Show All" button. Makes it easier to sort the columns and then see all the thumbnails at once. By the way, does that really show "all seasons" for teams that have been around more than one season?

Thanks Robert. I guess I just have to wait for an answer from SC.

Langdon, if you're out there, I found a couple of things that could use a little tweaking now that round 1 is over.

First, when I go to my team profile page the Highest Rated Photographs (that counted) section only shows the score each image received and not the percentile (which is what the ranking is actually based on). I noticed that if I click on the team average link in the Season Participation section up above it shows the place, score, and percentile for each image. Any way we could have it display all of that in the Highest Rated Photographs (that counted) section too?

Second, when viewing the team's entries down at the bottom of the team profile page if I sort by percentile (to check out which scores will count for a round, for example) the sort appears to ignore the decimal point (sort of). For example, if I sort descending a percentile of 4.xxxx will rank higher than 33.xxxx, but 44.xxxx will rank higher than 4.8xxx.

If you have just a second I'm sure you could fix those right up for us. :)
Oh, and I sent in an admin ticket of the above, too, just to be sure you'd see it.
Thanks.
