Well, you've won ME over, but I already have the max invitations out, so tell you what, you're on my short-list for people to invite if I don't get accepts from the people already invited. If you're still available then.

welcome to team f/ate, Breeee123!

------------------------

question: how many members do you have to have to finalize a team?
04/08/2010 08:25:07 PM · #304
Teams can have 7-10 members.

I swear that every Californian I've ever met could easily pass for a Montrealer (just need to learn a little french and your good!)

I'm orginally from california. Lived there for 18 of my 28 years...and still called it home in college. I don't think I can pass for a Montrealer....but I travel to montreal so much now, that I'm thinking about just getting a wife and kid there lol.

The teams automatically finalize after 7 members have accepted their invites.

Looks like the emailing worked. 126 people in the free agent list with 40 teams completed.

I am new and ready to learn, please pick me too.

All those waiting to be picked - wait no more! Be a captain and pick your own team! No special requirements - just pick a team name, start sending out invites and form a team! Go for it!

That's what I did :) Pro-active for the win.

Currently there are 131 users in the free agent pool.
A total of 41 teams have been created so far, and 35 of those are finalized.
Note: Just 3 days to go until sign-ups close.

7 more teams still need to be created and looking at the numbers in the free agent pool now that's looking like a good possibility. Much better outlook than yesterday.

I had such a blast during the last DPL, I just added myself to the free agent pool. :) There's nothing like team competition to really get the creative juices flowing. Last DPL I somehow managed 4 ribbons in 5 weeks... No guarantees of course, but those wishing to woo me can do so with fine craft beer, scotch, or an overall awesome attitude. :D Oh, and L glass works too. ;) This should be a lot of fun!

Sounds like you fit the bill for the perfect team captain for DPL2. :) Don't be worried about the "captain" title either -- once the team starts, there's really no additional responsibility imposed on team captains.

Damn, I can't really ignore advice from THE Langdon, now can I? :) OK, twist my arm... Announcing the latest team to enter the mix - Indecent Exposure. :D Invites going out soon...

I gotta say that I wasn't a participant nor a fan / follower of the DPL last time, but DPL2 seems to have already accomplished some very positive things on this site that have been sorely needed. I am seeing a lot of old names I haven't seen for a few years and the forums seem to be buzzing with more activity, civility and comradery.

So-- well done to all those involved in making this happen.

Ooops, spoke too soon. After realizing that I had invited many of the same members that nico_blue had, I decided to disband Team Indecent Exposure and join Team Aperture. Apologies to any of you I sent invites out to - please disregard.

I awoke this morning to look at the team standings and the free agent pool. WoW! I even see some old names in teams formed and in the pool I have not seen active for awhile return to this DPC 'island'. Camaraderie and Community Spirit is running at a higher peak - a very good thing:-) Wasn't in the first DPL but am excited about this one for several reasons. Good Luck to all, can't wait to see the influx of creativity and new work!

Most of the members of our team are back here after a long lay-off. We have been getting ready for this since it was announced in February and frankly I can't wait to see some of the images that are going to be produced during the DPL season. So many good photographers are coming back for this great concept, thanks Langdon

this really could be a momentum builder for dpc; at least, i surely hope so. most of team f/ate has been largely dormant in the challenges since the last league competition, and i'm really excited to see what comes out of this outing, especially given the roster changes!

i would greatly encourage anyone interested in participating to help round out the un-finalized teams.
