So I thought it might be a good idea to post places we have gone and got all excited about and got there and you went pffffht or went Yehhhhhhhhhhaw

I have always wanted to go to the Painted Desert. ($15 entrance fee) Got there and was like "Oh pretty, but that is it"

Stayed at the Wigwam hotel , price at $75 a night, in Holbrook AZ on Rt 66, so totally worth it, they even have Mater

Monument Valley in Arizona (not Utah even though it says it is) Well worth spending the night there at $125 a night, breakfast is included in that price, the meals in the restaurant where very large sized and reasonably priced do not take the tour buses on a cold day it snowed that day

Canyon de Chelly, nice drive, well worth it if you are a hiker (no admission fee) Best not to go when there is a blizzard, black ice, snow, and the beginging of a tornado. The old Indian dwellings are visable, I had my 300 Canon lens on and this was the best shot, so take a bigger lens , lots of wild horses though.

Lake Powell, mixed feelings on this one so not going to comment on that one yet.

Bryce Canyon in Utah - worthy of place on list of sites to visit at least once in a lifetime:

Riley enjoyed the trip too:
