Put a challenge to find it for a free print...one tried real hard, not correct answers.
I noticed it when I started editing
The Original

the edited

The Three!

No one even called me on the mislabeling (not sure how that happened...Lily on the mind), that it is actually an Iris.

That's cool, Tracy. Amazing the things one finds! It reminds me of the Natural Numbers challenge.

thanks David
I wish this was my Natural Numbers submission. Love finding those little things, otherwise overlooked.

I was the one that probably sent in at least four or five guesses and all were wrong. Even after the challenge, I still didn't see the three until you sent me the link to this thread. That's a very good hidden three and it is all natural like you said. I must try harder for the next print giveaway! :)

Very persistent you were...but then you did look at all those other great shots longer looking though.

By the way...this one was just got disqualified, because someone decided after the challenge was over that it needed DQ'd. For what reason I don't know. I had just done the Monday cleaning of crap out of my computer when the request came. The problem with it...when I download out of the camera I go through my workflow of annotating all my originals (unless I KNOW I am going to use it for DPC, then I keep a spare), keywording them and burning it to disk.
So...Just tossed it and had to send my "other" Original with annotations, which is no good, because it is altered.
Iris' don't bloom on Memorial Day Weekend I guess!

A quick excerpt from the rules:

"Disqualification requests should be submitted during the voting period whenever possible but will be accepted up to seven days after the results of the challenge to which the photo was entered are posted."

Therefore, you should keep your originals for at least a week after the challenge has completed.

I have the ORIGINAL (in my terms), it is just annotated now.
Not a big deal to me anyway. Lesson learned.
Just tweaking it for DPCPrints now.

And to further clarify the DQ rules, Manic's reply specifically addresses user-requested DQ's. The SC can DQ a photo at any time:

"At any time, you may be asked to prove the validity of a challenge submission. Typically proof is requested during the voting period and the week after voting ends. The top-placing entries will always have proof requested so the photos can be validated by the Administrators and Site Council."
