This thread reminded me of something I wrote AGES ago. The following was taken from an OLD blog post of mine, written back in Feb 2004 for livingroom.org.au's (Darren Rowse before he became a mega famous blogger) Blogger Idol meme... theme was "A day in the life of..."
Please Note: certain liberties have been taken with punctuation in this post i.e. they're deliberate errors as opposed to the usual stuff-ups I've been known to let through.
A day in the life of ...
There was trouble brewing amongst the members of ... or "ellipsis" as they were otherwise known
They were constantly being ignored and this was causing tension in the group
One day . decided to go it alone and pursue a solo career but as he was the founding member of the group and owner of all copyrights and trademarks the remaining member had to find themselves a new identity
. had no intention of using the ... trademark but he didn't want the others benefiting from it
The other two were furious with .'s selfishness
They pumped their frustration and anger in their new venture :
They were very pleased with the feedback they received from their new identity as word on the street was people were left wanting more every time they saw :
. on the other hand wasn't fairing as well as his former pals
Reviews of his solo career were quite scathing with one witty reviewer declaring the . is at the end of the line and will never be a *
Realising the error of his ways . begged that : take him back but with : experiencing far more notice as : than they ever did as ... they decided they didn't want . back and turned him away
In desperation . joined up with , to form ; but they weren't half as good a : and that partnership was soon dissolved
Later . hooked up with a strange character and they went around together as ? but nobody really understood their relationship
.'s partner decided that she wouldn't last long if she was constantly bent so she decided to get herself off the # and straighten herself out
. wasn't happy with his girlfriend's new persona
He knew that people weren't sure how to take them before when they were ? but now as ! people are just shocked and surprised by them
. didn't like this and told her that ! was to be no more
In a rage she pulled a knife out of her handbag and tried to /. but was unsuccessful in her attempts to kill her lover
Upon hearing news of this attempt on .'s life : contacted him and offered to get back together
Just another day in the life of...
