This one I submitted//www.pbase.com/image/When I'm Blue I Visit My Friends Site.jpg or this one //www.pbase.com/image/True Blue Canadian.jpg
Which is better? For the Blue Challenge?

You normally link to pbase images using the image number and not the title.

I like your alternate a LOT! The flagpole seems a little tilted, but I think that's an illusion and it's actually straight... The Red and White of the flag REALLY brings out the rich blue of the sky... This would have been a 9 bordering on a 10 for me.

It is actually tilted a bit. I think it is a really nice photo but, to me, it says more red than blue.

Thanks it is tilted, I wanted to correct that in photoshop when I learn how? It was the angle I was at. The original was more of a "feel Blue" as to see "blue" as that was my interpretion of the challenge.

what does anyone think? original or alternate?

I think the flag would maybe have scored better, but I think your submission was more original.
While you have the crop marquee at the size you want, position the cursor outside the box near a corner, and it should turn into a double-ended curved arrow. Click and drag to rotate the cropping marquee to the desired angle, and when you execute the crop the rotation will be effected.

I had an idea I wanted to use, but the Fungus Fair wasn't until this weekend:
