So....I'm in this abandoned church, and as I'm poking around for the good shots, I notice this window through an opening over the stairs where I came into the church. So I get over closer since I have my 12-24, and I see this grafitti, read it, and wonder WTF.....
I came home, edited the image, and wondered more, so I Googled the phrase and it turns out to be a line from a song that I entitled the image, "The League of Extraordinary Nobodies" that's by a guy goes by the moniker El-P. I read the lyrics and they're pretty out there, and it just made me wonder about someone who'd be spraying this onto the wall of a stairway in an abandoned church. This church.....
It's weird.....this place is right smack in the middle of a middle class suburban area, doesn't look that old, and except for the abandonment and subsequent deterioration, I don't really understand why it's not operational.
But inside......

It's past the point of renovation for all but the most determined, and able of congregations, so I somehow don't see the place being restored/rebuilt. The place has a distinctly eerie feeling being inside it......
Seeing that phrase, and looking it up, reading the lyrics, and thinking about a church gone just kinda gave me pause.....
