Inspired by NikonJeb
When I began this project back in January, I had no idea I would be looking for abandoned buildings as a subject. However, as I viewed and admired the work of NikonJeb "Forlorn, Abandoned, and Decayed", I began to look for such subjects. Here are some of my initial efforts. Not in Jeb's class by any means but.....perhaps, someday.
Abandoned Control Building

Abandoned control building for old lock and dam on Ohio River at Leavenworth, Indiana. Built in 1920s, the building was abandoned when the lock and dam were demolished in the early 1970's after a new dam was constructed several miles downstream.

Some of abandoned buildings in old Leavenworth, Indiana. Originally a river town on the Ohio River, the town was destroyed by the 1937 flood. It was subsequently rebuilt on higher ground and the old town largely abandoned. Amazing that some of the buildings still stand after 70 years!

Buffalo River Crossing

 Another one I shot for Found and fabricated filters, but I think that side challenge has died. (eta Nope, it's come to life again.)
Ballarat is just as gloomy and dismal as Melbourne, (and colder), so commiserations Terry - bring on Spring!!!
By my reckoning we should be about week 32, but I don't think anyone is quite there.
