Sounds kind of naughty at first glance, eh? I wasn't very happy with how the lighting turned out on this, and I did my usual thing and chose to submit the less obvious photo (since I love getting the "doesn't meet the challenge" comments... hehe), but I thought I'd share this anyway, since I do like it quite a lot.
I was going for a mood that is sort of a mixture of renaissance art and vintage erotica, without the people (I like the elaborate settings). Unfortunately, it's suffering a bit from compression, as I wanted to conserve space. Comments/critiques? |

Well I certainly would not have made any negative comments about lighting - or much else for that matter. It's a `super image.
(Edit for format)

LOL Don't get your hopes up. I can usually predict when my entry's going to confuse people, and I think the one I'm doing will be one of those. Still, I feel it's the better photograph.

If this was your reject, I can't wait to see the one that you entered!
I am always tempted on shots like this to brighten up the darker parts and then add that soft glow effect, regardless of how overdone and cliched that may be. :-) This is a beautiful photo just as it is, but you might want to play with something like that just for fun. Great shot!

Or maybe even some of that diffuse glow effect in PS...I kind of like that one myself. That's a great shot anyway, but since it's an outtake, have fun with it! :o)

Thanks for the feedback... I'll probably play with it some more later :) Soft focus looked a tad hokey to me, but I have lots of other ideas still. |
