I love my 50mm 1.8 lens SO much but want wider. I bought a Nikon 16-85 but it is so soft and I dont like it for portraits. So was thinking about going with the 35mm 1.8 lens.
OR is there one that is crisper sharper? does it compare to the 50mm 1.8? |

| This was taken with the 12-24mm DX. That's a beautiful lens. |

Well, first of all, I blame Robert, Bear_Music, for being wretched and insisting that I *needed* that lens, then a friend of mine had one that I borrowed since he bought a 5D MkII, and that pretty much ruined me, so I bought it from the friend who gave me a heck of a deal.
Might I suggest that you borrow or rent one to see what you think as I have barely had it off my camera since I got it.
This from a guy who swore he'd never have anything but his 18-200 VR.
It's REALLY a wicked wonderful lens!!!
