I think thats fair. I feel pretty guilty myself about my entry to this challenge as i used a magic growing potion for my shot. The only excuse i have for cheating is that one of my mottos in life is 'What would Rick Moranis do?', and, well, you know. Rick's the man, right? |

Comments have been awesome. I'm one of those who do not own a lensbaby and had to resort to post processng to enter this challenge. :) |

There's at least two people with tilt shift lens that have posted in this thread. And many more with lensbabies. Anyway, i'm sure rinac was just joshing. |
I know she is kidding but lets be real here, 2 (and I couldn't find them) is a loooooong way away from the 54 that entered the challenge. |
Oh hey, knew I should not have included the tongue-poking smiley. No wonder WWIII hasn't broken out yet.

The difference being it states in the challenge description that you can create the effect in post processing. It doesn't say anything about having to use an actual tilt shift lens. It does however state pretty explicitly the steps (literally) that one must take in order to take their shot in the 47 steps challenge
I didn't enter either one of these challenges, but I do find it sad that you are intentionally trying to stir the pot and make trouble here especially since even though you are friends with Nuzzer it was his photo that was in question. He's a big boy and I'm pretty sure he can handle his own battles and it seems that if he wants it to go away he's doing it the right way by moving forward which is pretty much what everyone else seems to be doing.
Now go right ahead an flame me, but that's mine, and I'm sure a lot of others opinion here. If you want to help Nuzzer out..whom BTW I'm a fan of his work please just let it go. Thanks.

Yup. And, for the record, I'm not anti-photoshop either. Just don't HDR. HDR is bad mkay?

Lots of great shots in this one but I got fed up of miniatures very quickly. Next time let's exempt the miniatures from these challenges. Leave the miniatures for the ...errr..... miniatures challenge. It's too easy a process to achieve, all you need is an image taken at higher altitude and 30 seconds in PS. |

This is a joke right?? If not, do a google search for tilt shift photography.. you will be in miniature heaven.
I gave out four 9's, two 8's and two 7's... and favorited one that doesn't belong in the challenge but it's too good to pass up (I didn't vote on it).
Mine is slooooooooowly climbing up to a 5.65

Unless there is someone lurking in the weeds, I have the brown on this one. It's certain I won't make the top 50.

From a couple of my comments its clear that at least some voters see this as a miniature challenge which is a bit of a shame but to be expected maybe. I wish i'd entered my lensbaby shot now as it was far less of a miniature type shot than the one i'd entered and would surely have scored a lot less but i wouldn't have felt so unfaithful! |

I think it is fair to congratulate you now. Don't believe I'll beat that. Although the more I look at my shot, the more I think I deserve the brown. What was I thinking?!? |

100 vote mark, and still hanging just above 7 but the rate I'm dropping (.1 a day) I'm predicting I wont hold that elusive 7.

Well, I entered a LB, as did Penny. Mine's getting dinged for not being miniature enough, but it looks more miniature than hers, so I have a 5.4 and she is trying to stay out of the 4's. And hers is a wonderful LB shot. So much for challenge descriptions. Shoulda' just called this one "Miniature II", eh?

First pass of voting I marked down lens baby shots because I forgot they work by tilting and didn't think they fitted the challenge. Then I slapped myself in the forehead and adjusted my votes because of my stupidity! I think maybe lens baby shots are getting hurt through ignorance. Some fine examples there too. |
