OK...two things that are making me just EXTREMELY happy right now...
1. I got my new camera today!!!!! OK, so it's not Canon or Nikon, but until I win the lotto, oh well...I got the Kodax DX6490. I am patiently (not) waiting for the battery to charge.
2. My Multiple Light Sources photo is holding steady at 6.6 with 178 votes and 16 comments. I hope that I haven't created a bad vibe, you know, like the no hitter in baseball where you can't say it's a no hitter.
OMG!!!!! I'm doing a (very poor) happy dance!!! :o)

Wow! Sounds like a great week! Congrats. Getting a new cam is always fun. Is that the one with the 10X zoom?

congratulations! I'll bet you will have some great fun with it. Can't wait to see your new pics from the new camera. And way to be on the multiple lights challenge. I am pulling a 5.5, which I am going to consider good. I have done much worse. anyway, congratulations.

I was quite surprised about it...I had put in in layaway at Wally World and was still debating about it, but when I got home today my hubby had gone up there and gotten it out for me. Now I have to figure out what all those settings are! :o)

OK, I couldn't wait any longer, so I went out in the backyard and took a few pictures. I know these aren't stellar, but all I did was crop & resize these. I am so thrilled with the flexibility I finally have! Woo-hoo!

Laurie just wait till you start playing with the PASM settings your going to have lots of fun when you get them worked out (I'm still working on mine)
you will need a steady hand or tripod at 10x
but if you love your DX6490 half as much as I like mine your going to LOVE it
