...ands it a bit of an eye opener!
Usually I was content to use pretty much most of the automated settings and let it do it neatimagey kind of funky thing, only sometimes tweaking the Cr/Cb & Y settings and `eyeing it in` to look good. However I sometimes got annoyed at the way it made things look very plasticy. However after finally reading the manual and some online tutorials I discovered the joys of the component viewer and the Y, Cr & Cb channels and the way they work/interact and the results I am getting now are outstanding - miles better than anything before without the dipped in plastic look one gets from quite noisy images. So for those of you who have neatimage check out the little component viewer gizmo and give yourself an hour or so with some grainy images and prepare to be amazed! |

Thanks alot! I'll give it a try! I stopped using it on heavy grainy images |

ETA: where do you get the manual...mine (like my children) didn't come with a manual
