Outtake:

It's kind of a funny story, really, 'cause my friend, Frank, Photorico & I went out shooting together, and we were looking for places/things to shoot.

I suggested we go shoot the bridge 'cause I liked the support columns. It was just about sundown, and we mosied on down, and......there it was with the sun just disappearing over the hill in the background. I had *NO* idea there were lights on the underside, and that coupled with how still the river was made for quite the scene. Frank thought I knew what this looked like so he was all impressed. I hadn't a clue it was this fabulous.

The rest, as they say, is history.....with almost no editing whatsoever, I got a Top 10, and Frank got 14th. We agreed that we should do one portrait orientation, and one landscape......hence my landscape entry being my outtake. My outtake was actually the last shot I took that evening, and if you look closely, you'll see in the back of the image that there's a wake from some inconsiderate b*stard who went by in a boat.

Couldn't he see we were shooting for a challenge???? What WAS he thinking????? LOL!!!

His entry:

First time I've ever really had a shooting partner that we've actually entered the same challenge. His red ribbon in Halloween was from the same church as my FS, but it's just not quite the same thing as two entries of the same subject.

Thanks to all who voted me nicely....I love my image and the Top 10 just made it that much sweeter.....especially having seen so many fine entries in the challenge!

Guess I should have gone with the 3rd outtake...I really thought the one that I chose (Ebony & Ivory) was really good for this challenge...oh, well...

In my opinion all 3 of your outtakes are better than your entry. I really like the 1st one.

here's my entry... did more poorly than i thought, and only 1 comment.

any thought if this outtake would have scored any better, since it is "more" symetrical"?
