I have just completed a corporate deal in which I supplied customized artwork for a company's new facility's conference room & break room. This includes product shots and "pretty" shots for the break room that incorporate the company's logo and some company slogans.

Yes, I know this is selling out to a certain degree; but I was given substantial leeway with regard to both endeavors and managed to create some pretty cool images. They had their ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new complex and it went over exceedingly well. Their other offices and distributors were very interested in the displayed artwork.

What should I charge for licensing & rights for these images? The product shots were 16x20 (and I really can't use them for anything else, so why not sell the rights). The break room shots were 24x30 or 24x36 (great resolution with company logo & company related text in a semi-transparent font face).

They have already purchased the matted & framed images, but are interested in purchasing the rights to use them in their other offices and at their distributors' offices (as well as their marketing materials). They're extremely pleased with the pricing I have given them so far, but I'd like to keep them happy and still have them gunning to recommend me for additional work.

Thanks for any and all input. :-)

Jimmy

PS: This is the biggest job I've ever done and I have DPC to thank for it. You are the best and I know that you will continue to grow and help other budding photographers along this path. I hope to give back more than I've been given to this organization, but that is a tall order... I'll keep trying. :-)

dude, "selling out" is when you have to sell your equipment because you can no longer afford to keep it ;-)
