If so, a new category similar to "Nudes" would fix the entire problem by hiding this category of photo. The category could be titled something like "Offensive".

Also, anybody deemed to be offensive to the majority of the DPC population could be put up on the chopping block and voted off through a poll. That would be hilarious, and I would accept a majority rule. :-D

Photoshop the photo to add another finger on your hand. Then technically it's not the middle finger and not offensive. Then everyone is happy and the newbs won't get scared.

Art did already.... Wicked Picker:

I will spare Shannon and tell you that it was ME who locked that thread after a number of reported posts on it. I like you, Slippy. I think you're funny, but that doesn't mean you can say whatever you want whenever you want. Sad, but true. You're a smart guy, and you like to pet the kitty backward, I can see that. I am married to someone a lot like you, so maybe that's why I have a soft spot for you, but you can't go charging over the decorum line all the time. That's all I meant by locking your thread.

frisca IS HOT FOR SLIPPY !!!!

I'm wondering... does that link lead to the profile of the user who clicks it, or does it lead to the list of over 2,700 profiles? I meant for the link to lead to the list.

Also, did you lock more based on photo, or text? I'm just confused. :-(

In that case, I don't see how anybody could be so offended by the link. It makes me think it's the finger people can't handle. At least the 8 who voted it 1.

i locked more based on photo, but you were essentially flipping us ALL the bird. You can charge over the line..umm, once every quarter year.

And I'm not saying I have a crush on you! ;)

Well, that should be no surprise at all, right? You gotta figure that a certain percentage of viewers will get a tad torqued when they open a thread to see a maniacal looking Canadian flipping them the bird, don'tcha think?

As Art pointed out, I am included in the enemies list, so I guess I'm just as hurt.

I think there's a certain percentage who get a tad torqued just for the sake of it. ;-)

It's all Yo_Spiff's fault. In some other, unrelated thread, he made a comment about my Enemies List, which set me off on the new thread. My OCD took over and I couldn't stop.

Curse you, Yo_Spiff!

ETA.... this is the other thread. :-D

And it is precisely that foreknowledge which puts you in violation of TOS section 4.2 (as previously-cited in this thread), and invalidates your attempted defense of exemption under Forum Rule 14 (also previously-cited), which, in any event, is over-ridden by the TOS.

Personally, I am covered by Forum Rule 14 ... ;-)

... I mean for the sake of it... AT ANYTHING, even fluffy squirrels and bunnies, for example, which would make EVERY thread a violation of TOS Section 4.2. Curse my poor English.

And I wasn't using Rule 14 as a defence, it was an accusation aimed at scalvert. ;-P

I'll have to tell you quite honestly that that portrait of Slippy is one of the best I've ever seen on DPC. I think it puts him up in the top ranks of the best here. I guess I'll have to be careful linking to it from now on as I've already done so a couple of times here and probably will have to wait at least six months to use it again. And that's if I get the same dispensation as Slippy. As I suspect Frisca doesn't have any use for me I might have to wait for a longer period to reset the overreaching clause.

As to the threat you received.... well if they ban you from the site it'll just add you to the martyrs list that includes many greats like the cheese guy. LOL

Frisca doesn't appreciate good art, but then look at her taste in men.

Falsely. You pointed out the guideline about reporting posts when you suspect a rule violation, which is exactly what I said I did in my first post.

just because english is not my first language, i am little confused. Is 'petting backward' means petting on arse or on mouth. I mean if it is on arse side than he got to be careful with that middle finger , it gets stuck there sometimes. Also wearing some protection would help ....

:-D

It means petting against the lay, or grain, of the fur. This can REALLY piss off some cats. Other cats, however, love it.
