Hi everyone. I've posted a few pics on my site. I suck (emphasis on the word SUCK) at websites, so all there is so far are a bunch of photos, no thumbnails, so be warned if you have a slow connection and please be gentle.

i think it would be orders of magnitude "better" if the images were all the same size...the work looks great...the uneven edges are the big culprits :)
otherwise i love the simplicity of it
good job

Yah, I agree, but I'm pretty much the most lazy Photoshop and HTML person alive. I have a friend who is going to fix up the site in a about a month so it is professional. I really only wanted critique on the photos. :O |

lol
ok, gotcha
i like that there is a general "feel" to the shots. theres kind of a washed out feel to them...well not washed out, but blown out...i'm a big fan of that aesthetic.
more later...gota run :)

I definitely agree with the-O-ster. The pictures are really nice! I just started a portfolio too.. kind or. At //img71.photobucket.com/albums/v216/super_linds/Test%20Album/
They do all of the formatting and thumbnails and everything for you.. which is nice for someone like me who knows probably gazillions LESS than you do about web pages. Although.. if you're big on Photoshop.. it will actually put together a webpage with thumbs and links to the bigger pictures in a separate frame for you. Or something like that.
But anyway.. your photos are really nice :) |

I don't know why you're complaining about your web site skills! I like the format of the site...a lot. Don't let some geeked out web developer come in and tell you how it should look because in this day and age, simplicity is the name of the game. All you really need is your contact information, but it looks like you're working on that based on what's in your images/nav directory.
Good photos by the way. My favorite is the one with the woman playing dominos. Great stuff. |

Great work. I didn't know y'all had hay in New Jersey! (LOL) :o)
I really am kind of taken with the Fire Escape photo. Interesting angle. Keep up the good work and keep some posted here!

I love the people photos! You seem to do well with those. They are very emotive... And, the dock at the end is nice, too. Good work!

Thanks for all the really supportive comments! My site is definitely a work in progress and I will keep you all up to date on how it develops. And, yes we have hay in Jersey! We have it all - hay, tolls, and the most beautiful women this side of the Hudson. |
