Sure but there were extra rules which negated that.

Extra Rules
Your original must be a JPG -- RAW images are not allowed for this challenge. Absolutely no post-processing is allowed except for resizing.

Before the fight broke out, maybe what he wanted to see would be a challenge where everyone has to post a JPG of the original in the photog's notes with the entry. That way he could see what the originals looked like before processing after the challenge ends.

Apart from thinking a Minimal Edit Challenge would be a good idea, I think this thread was heading in a better direction when it was focused on Biting Judi. Ofcourse in my case and Ive said it before. Would only be a nibble instead of a bite. But I am sure the topic will not require popcorn.

Sean, a agreeable suggestion, none the less, this subject is often approached by relatively new members with few entrees that feel PS gives advantage to the few. I think you will find that those that have taken the time to perfect the post processing, have also taken the time to master their cameras.

Minimal editing is a much more accurate description, rather than straight from the camera. As stated previously, there are plenty of user controllable settings when shooting JPEG, although I much prefer RAW files.

As an aside, I'm throwing out a request to our new member Sean to stop shouting, amongst other things, in his comments as well; calling Judi the bomb diggity won't alter my request! ;)

Yes I know every picture would have to be validated but I think its worth the sacrifice.

So, rules
The picture must be straight from the camera and validation must be submitted for every picture. The only editing allowed is resize and crop.

everyone knows that a REAL photographer relies on photoshop (cough cough "darkroom editing" sounds better) to make a REAL photograph! now crawl back into your cave and dont ever suggest this again!
