I like the work of this photog, but I can't figure out how he achieves his trademark effect.
Does anyone know what kind of post has been put into this ? |

Probably a Photoshop plugin like Lucis Arts.

The image appears to have been tone-mapped. If so, any of these tools could do the job:
Topaz, or Dynamic Photo HDR, or Photomatix, or Photoshop's High-pass Filter, or maybe he followed my DPC tutorial, or ...

Tone mapped or processed, whatever. What I find more interesting is that it appears to be a 100% shot with the large l/r borders giving it a perspective not seen if it had a wide view. The presentation here is what I find more interesting. Or is that just the screen-shot? Either way I like the effect/presentation with the wide side borders for this shot and the perspective they create.
