Ok, I'm missing something obvious, but I'm just not seeing it.

I have a file in Photoshop Elements. I went to Save For Web. The image is 1016x720. The file is 559.3kb. When I bring it into my porfolio, and click on the image, it shows the image detail and shows that it is 559.3kb. When I click on View Photo Page, it shows me a smaller image. When I right click and select properties, it says that the image is 800px × 567px and 97.3kb.

What the heck is going on? Why can't I get the image to be the right size? I've tried with a different image, and that seems to work fine.

Please help! I'm obviously missing something here...

There is a link on the page to View image full size - right under mark this photograph as a fave. That should send you to the image size you wantd.

If you look at your image, you have the option of viewing at full size. Click that link, and it will show at full size at your right dimensions.

eta: too slow

Maybe you got the link wet, and it shrunk? : )

I have noticed this on some of mine and it only appears to happen when the original is a largish size.

Images over 800 pixels are automatically resized for the photo's display page so that those pages all stay a reasonable size; as noted, there's then a link to view the full-sized image in isolation.
