I'll take a look - though I assume you'll take into account a) the judgement that's involved in a 4.7245 average such as mine and, b) that sometimes you have to toss a coin, not so that you can see which way it lands, but so you can see which way you wanted it to land.

Average means very little to me - mostly I want a bit of a reaction if possible. :-) Had a good week shooting for this one - ended up with some good choices for a change! That said, not sure they'll be a hit with voters, but really don't mind one way or another.

Are any other TSers running with a Photo-a-Day project through 2010? I've decided to give it a go, although I may yet fall at the first hurdle as it is back to work tomorrow, and then a visit to see Mum in the hospital straight after, so I will be leaving home at 7.00am and getting back at around 8.00pm every week day. Still, I intend to give it my best shot. If any one is interested in taking a gander, it can be found here.

Ever had one of those shoots where despite your best efforts, absolutely stinkin' nothing goes right? The lighting is off, the flashes don't sync, the space is too small, the technicals are all precisely the same as when you shot a decent shot before...and it still doesn't work?

Shot around 450 frames today and they all imho SUCK so bad, no matter what. All told, roughly 700 frames have been shot for this challenge, I think it's a new personal record. So I'm entering a second choice shot. Of course, I'll probably get a far better score with it than I would with the one I was trying so hard to get. But still, galling a little that despite all my new knowledge and a few new toys...that I still can't capture what I want as an image others can see. ARGH!

feeling much better now, you may resume your Team Suck programming. :-)

Back home after 2 weeks in Minnesota. Long drive home--2 long days with 2 kids and one large dog. It will be nice to sleep in my own bed tonight. It was -18 degrees Fahrenheit when we left. So even though I miss family already, I don't miss the weather!

I have no confidence in my Paul Simon entry, but I like it. There's no wow to it, and it's way too subtle. Might as well start off the first challenge of the year low -- then things can only go up!

On a more positive note -- my free study just hit 5.000

So happy! Also got an interesting idea from Ryan, he suggested I move my bed into the guest room and use the master bedroom as a studio. Guess that means the guest room would be moved into what is now the studio, with its oh-so-attractive 18% grey/flat white/flat black walls and accents. Bet anything he'll next turn up here with a tape measure :-)

Happy New Year to all. I'm starting with a new attitude and will try to do more with my local group and not stress so much about getting it right. I'm going to have fun this year taking photos. I posted in the out and about forum, I'm going to be in Phoenix the 22-24th maybe I'll be able to meet some DPC people.

I find it so bizarre when all of a sudden you get a bunch of views on a picture that's not in a challenge. I noticed last night that the views on this picture

was at around 2000. Now it's over 2500. I tineyed it, but found nothing.
