Some days I really hate the voters. I know my entry may not be totally DPC friendly, but it's a good image, not a 4 by any standards.

Jeb, you have grown so much as a photographer over the last couple of years. I'm in awe.

Perhaps it is time to move on as my photos just don't fit here anymore. I think I'll just do Free Studies and ignore the rest of the challenges.

The reason you're here on TS is 'cause you don't fit the conventional DPC mold.

Sh*t happens with the mojo......I have enjoyed scores and success I never would have imagined, and now I'm back to earth.

My lowest score in a FS wasn't under 5.3, the last three have been 6.4315, 6.4444, and 6.5677.

This morning I woke up to a 4.0xxx. WTF???

We all have good and bad runs. This too shall pass.....(I hope!)

Jeb, I'm currently at 4.83. I was hoping I had another 6+. It's currently my 3rd lowest score in 101 challenges and it's high up on my favorite shots list. Something's really screwy. I'm so far off on this one. So maybe we're getting hit by the phase of the moon! Either that or 2010 is really going to suck for us photographically... :P

I turned my scores off, I believe it's for the best. :)

Amateur!

I think I have like four sub-4 scores under my belt.......not intentionally, either! LOL!!!

It's just funny how it goes......you think you have something figured out, you get kicked in the teeth, I'm *still* reeling about my 7+ score. I justy don't think it's that good.

I don't really want to bitch about it, though!

I had four people tell me to enter the train pic......NOOOOOOO! I went for the compositionally artistic shot that I thought was cool.

SLAAAAAAAAAAP!!!

Oops!.....8>)

*tapping foot* Jeb, Jeb, Jeb. What are we going to do with you? At first I thought you had entered Snow Train, got a crap score, and then did a self-dq. Or did you enter that *other* shot and it's the one in the weeds?

This is most likely the bet this will be so I'll post it now.

Yep! I pulled Snow Train, and entered another one entirely that I got no other opinions on at all. And it's tanking....

No self DQ.......I don't believe in that. Why would you do that? It is what it is, it's over in a week, and nobody cares.

Like I told Wendy.....I've gotten four sub-4 scores, and not intentionally. So?

When you toss a brick every now and then, it helps you to see what went wrong, and it sure as heck makes you appreciate a run of eight 6+ scores in ten challenges. I had one yellow ribbon, two 5th HMs, and two Top tens in that run! This slappage just kicked the sh*t out of any possibility of me thinking I might be hot stuff! And we all need a heapin' helpin' of humility every now and then. LOL!!!

My score has crawled up to a 4.8, but it'll never crack 5. I'm just a little disappointed 'cause I went from something like 70th, to 39th over the last three FS entries and was hoping for a nice finish in the FSM. Now I'll prolly be lucky to finish in the top 50. I really don't much like Free Studies 'cause I generally do poorly in them. But they make me work hard, step outside my comfort zone, and learn how to take a drubbing like a grownup.

I've entered 348 challenges. I've only ever had 8 scores at 6 or above, total. I've had 167 sub 5's though. LOL!

OK the run down :)

I have two in voting as indicated above and with any luck they will maintain their present scores (although I would like to see the sub 5 go up but I digress)things will look like this for me:

Sub 7's - 07
Sub 6's - 58
Sub 5's - 29
Sub 4's - 02
Total 96

Man I really suck :) But not all things that suck are bad :)

When current voting concludes I'll have seven pictures which have attained a 6 out of seven hundred entries. I don't even want to try and count the sub-4's -- someone else can do that if they want, and have lots of spare time ... ;-)

OK your break down as I see it (man are my eyes blurry)

Assuming you have entered the 3 available challenges that makes:

Challenges known 701 - 3 = 698
Sub 7's - 006
Sub 6's - 192
Sub 5's - 402
Sub 4's - 091
Sub 3's - 005
Dq's......002
Totals ...698

I think that's right but you can have a look see for yourself if you wish *rubs eyes and puts in drops*

So far I'm only entered in one of the three available challenges not yet in voting, and two of the three currently in voting, and I should have three DQ's*. But, that's close enough -- thanks!

*That is, three photos have been DQ'd -- I (personally) don't think any of them should have been ... ;-)

I only see two DQ's in your portfolio and the above challenge entries that you have indicated makes my count right :) at 698 and three still to finish voting.

Easier to find under the challenges list on the Profile page ...

This last (first) one was DQ'd long ago, before the DQ images were displayed at the end of the challenge results, and so is not viewable there, though it still shows up in the list on the Profile page

Never doubted you sir, as you have knowledge of this site that I will never have access to.

You rock this place no matter how well you do, your input and insight here are wonderful and I for one want to see you around forever.

Thank you GeneralE for being such a kind and giving person to this spaceship of learning, DPC.

All the best to you my friend and to your family and friends too.

Heh! Not a problem, Alan. I do need a tie-breaker now. I did ask one other person and she picked the other of my preferred options.. go figure!

Maybe you should ask that Nikon guy, it seems he has been lacking at sucking lately..;p
