The National Wildlife Foundation has a photo contest:
Location: NWF
Other Information: Submit up to 5 photos 5x7 or 8x10
The deadline is June 30, 2004
For those in the Dallas area the Dallas Zoo Photo contest:
Dallas Zoo
Location: Dallas, Texas
Other Information: Submit up to (3) 8x10 prints. Color or black & white.
Photos must be taken at the Dallas Zoo between March 29, 2004 and September 30, 2004.
September 30 is the deadline and all submissions have to be in.
They have three categories:
Children 12 and under
Novice
Professional

A trip to the Dallas Zoo or the Fort Worth Zoo (Mucho Better :))
would be tough I think. To avoid the huge crowds it would have to be scheduled on a weekday.
We took Flash to the Fort Worth Zoo on a Thursday and it was busy then because of the school trips. We had our tripods all set up on the bridge that went past the habitats for the Tiger and White Tiger and a group of kids would come running up and the whole bridge would shake :)
But I sure think a trip to the Fort Worth Zoo would be great!
