So I was sitting outside last night, smoking a cigarette and finally noticed how the bright the moon looked to me. I figured what the hell I'll take a picture. Well I was looking at them today and thought for the camera I have this isn't that bad of a picture. I think it looks like an egg but I was wanting to see what do you all think?

Nope, nothing like that one...ours is a European moon, much more regular and subject to EU regulations and Health & Safety. No moon can be bigger than 2.6cm, it must be white, no blue or Orange, definitely not Red!!

Please read EU regulation 99, change hands, section 3 for exact details!

Nice detail along the terminus.

Yeah, I suppose that you are also in North America. I used a Nikkor 1000mm f11 with a Nikkor x2 manual converter to capture this shot a few years ago. The moon was amazing this past week and was very bright, which is ideal for these shots. However, I was on vacation in the RV and had not taken the 1000mm and the big tripod on the trip. Too bad.

It was kinda orange the other night.. Quick, phone brussels and get them to sort it out ; )

As a comparison this is a uk moon from last year. I just want to see if I can spot a difference in them
