It's 97F without a hint of breeze. Inside my house is over 90. Our bedroom "cooled" to 82 last night, so at least I slept better than the night before.
It's supposed to do this for the next week or more.
And no, we don't have air-conditioning. That would be rather like Floridians buying snowblowers. They might use them every once in a while, but certainly not often enough to warrant buying 'em.

*whimper*

eta; and no, there's not a fan to be had in the stores. We have a few but I bought another yesterday and got one of the very last ones around.

Thankfully, I'm in the interior where Central Air is a law.

Yeah, you guys are used to being camels, but us wetcoasters can't handle it! (kinda like we are with snow...)
And hey, when you coming to the coast? Would love to meet ya.

I forgot what the double digits felt like. Just about every day it's been 100+ in Austin, Texas.

I was supposed to come soon, but keep running into car troubles.

Yup. I just dropped over a grand on solar screens to try to cool things down and help the poor air conditioner. :(

Okay, now I'm resorting to the poor-man's AC- a pan of ice cubes in front of the fan...

7pm and it's "only 32C (90F) in the bedroom. It's 34 (93) at my computer.

Helllllp!

I forgot that the west coast was having a super heat wave. If you have a basement (and it's cool), running the furnace fan can help cool the rest of the house.

We don't have a furnace, have electric heat. Downstairs is a couple degrees cooler than up, but not a lot, or I'd be lying on the suite floor all day.

It's now 10:20pm, down to 30C (86F) outside and dead calm, still 91.2F in the kitchen, and a cool 83 in the bedroom. My office is.... awful...

If it weren't for the bugs, I'd sleep on the deck.

eta; 'Snot fair, it's only 16C in Calgary right now!

We had a heat wave last week though nothing like what you're experiencing. The top temp was 32 and indoors it only got as high as 27. Hot flashes and heat wave don't mix very well. LOL

Do you have ice packs? I found putting one behind my neck when trying to get some sleep worked quite well.

I've been draping myself with a wet hand towel at night. Between that and the fan directly on me, last night wasn't bad.
Kept wetting myself down today and wearing a facecloth full of icecubes on my neck. My skin's gonna be soooooo dry after a couple more days of this.

Beck just had a banana. She took one bite, made a face, and said, "It's warmer than my mouth..."

1:28am and it's down to 88 in my office. At this rate it should be a positively chilly 85 by morning!
