Anyone else remember this? .. A couple of site users were going to try to put together a guide to critiquing photos. Anything ever happen with that? Can we get that going again? Any takers? What's the record for most questions in a post?

I remember reading something very recently in another thread (well, duh -- since we're the only two posts here, right?) that clubjuggle was working on something like this. If I'm remembering incorrectly, I'd be happy to do some research and put together something quick, with something more substatial to follow later, but I don't want to step on toes.

I don't think you need to worry about stepping on toes. Collaboration is a good thing. I think a guide would be very helpful.

Drew,
I think that the idea of a 'critique' forum where photos are posted may actually work better than a critique 101 document... A document is not interactive. A discussion regarding critique of a photo IS interactive and therefore more useful to anyone who wants to participate in it...

I think the Critique Forum is a good idea, and it doesn't preclude the Critiquing 101 Guide. Why not both? They will serve different purposes, and accomplish different things.

Here''s a vote for the "gagging" feature. Somehow I don''t think people are gleaning a lot of constructive criticism from "kill all babies" and "bikes are gay". :-þ Okay this posted to the wrong thread. Carry on! lol
