Hi, just got a D70 for my birthday and i am LOVING it. I am wondering if there is a way to do double exposures with my digital camera, or can i do it on Photoshop? is there a way to layer images and have them both show? Maybe someone could just refer me to a tutorial, or explain. thanks!
Nate

You may NOT combine images from two or more photographs for DP Challenges.
Double exposures are acceptable if your camera is capable.

The D70 is not capable of a double exposure in camera. That has to be done in your imaging software putting each image you want to combine in a separate layer.

Quite correct. Only a few cameras (all non-DSLR as far as I know) are capable of this. There are alternatives for us DSLR folks that make limited in-camera double-exposure possible. Some options:
- Long exposure; cover/uncover the lens manually during the exposure.
- Long exposure plus flash; expose a background scene that requires a long exposure, and finish by moving an object into the frame and triggering flash.
- Multiple flash; light the scene only with flash, use bulb mode to hold shutter open and trigger flash multiple times.
All the above are workable, I even took one by accident with the second technique last week. Someone next to me triggered flash on their camera during a long exposure on my camera, just as someone else walked through my frame. Wierd result, can't post it now 'cause it might give away an entry to a current challenge.
