Think again. When I was vacationing in London last year I didn't see one pigeon in Trafalgar Square....and I was disappointed by that! You know how you get images in your mind of what certain places will look like, well I had visions of hundreds of pigeons in Trafalgar Square. But there were none there and there were signs around telling people not to feed the pigeons.

REALLY!?! When I was there ages and ages ago, there were people selling pigeon food. It was my favorite place to people watch in all of England. The women would hold up the food, and the freak out when the pigeons flew at them. The kids would walk around with armloads of pigeons. The guys sat back and looked bemused. I always wanted to go back and spend a day photographing the people and pigeons. I'm crushed...

but can't a seagull be a pigeon? they both poop a lot.

Already been done :-)

And sometimes they die...

I don't think I've ever seen a pigeon on the Cape, actually; the "dead pigeon" was on the mainland, at Plymouth, an hour's drive from here...

A pigeon is really a dove according to my "Birds of North America" handbook. Can we shoehorn doves in here???

Ok so talking about the different types of Pigeons... If I remember correctly in the earlier 90's there was a song put out by the Pop/Hip Hop group: TLC titled, "No Scrubs" sterotyping a worthless/broke/cheating male, there was a response song by Sporty Thievz titled "No Pigeons" saying the same about women... Would it be wrong to find a socially unaccepted gold digger and take her pic? haha just another wild thought during lunch time :) Google is a beautiful thing :)

"A pigeon is a girl who be walkin' by
My rimmed up blue, brand new sparklin' five
Her feet hurt so you know she want a ride
But she frontin' like she can't say hi"

I dont ask me what it honestly means... im not that cool lol

The ultimate pigeon place is Piazza San Marco in Venice.
