I know PS Unsharpen Mask is allowed, but I am not sure about the noise reduction slider in Aperture. Since NeatImage is allowed, I am assuming that it would be allowed as well.
I would like to submit to "From Above II" so a quick response would be convenient.
Thanks in advance, DPC. |

I would think it would be allowed as long as it is applied to the entire image, but I am not positive so if anyone else can verify this, by all means... please do. |

I think it would be legal as well as long as you are not making any selections and it is applied to the whole image. Be aware that any process that adds a vignette to your image will be considered a DQ so make sure no new information is added. |

Originally posted by Basic Rules: use filters or stand-alone utilities designed to preserve image integrity (such as Neat Image, Unsharp Mask, Dust & Scratches, and color correction tools). These filters must be applied uniformly to the entire image, and must not be used in such a way that their use becomes a feature. No “effects” filters may be applied to your image, with the exception of Noise and Gaussian Blur. |
Nevermind, I think I got. I read through the rules too quickly, I thought that you couldn't use Noise and Gaussian blur filters, but you can.
Thanks all who responded.
Don't worry I definitely applied the noise reduction globally.
