NikonJeb asks:
You've realized you can no longer live where you are, and you're going to have to relocate permanently. If all your needs were addressed, and that doesn't mean a lottery ticket, where would you most like to live that would feed your heart, soul, and belly?

Wow, that's a tough one right off the bat. It's funny, because I really do need to move. My landlord has sold the house I've been renting for the past 11 years and I've been debating leaving the state.

For my heart, I suppose I'd have to stay in NJ to stay in close contact with my extended family. For my soul, I'd love to go to Africa, to be close to nature's beauty and my favorite animal, the elephant

For my belly, I love Italian food, but I'm quite good at cooking it so it doesn't really mean I need to move to Italy. I could choose Europe for it's delectable chocolate! But chocolates can be shipped, and even sent by friends that happen to be stationed there, LOL, and animals can be visited at zoo's or maybe that lottery ticket comes through and pays well enough for an African safari. So, in the end, I guess I will always be wherever my family happens to be.

JerseyGenie asks:
We know you like roses, what else will you be putting in your garden?

This is funny! As much as I love any type of flower, I actually have a brown thumb. I even managed to kill a cactus! My orange rose bush is turning yellow (too much dog pee I think). And so far none of my bulb plantings have yet to actually make an appearance this year. Though I've planted sunflowers, a wild flower mix, gladiolas, roses, tulips, and I don't even remember what else now. Nothing has bloomed but the roses, and those blooms have all now died off. Hopefully they are not done for the summer. I usually end up going to gardens for my flower pictures.

snaffles asks:
What inspired her to shoot the soaring hippo in Flying?

Animals are my passion. I love all animals, even the ones I fear, like squirrels. LOL! Living in an area where there isn't much wildlife in the actual wild, I buy memberships to the wonderful places that have wildlife. The Adventure Aquarium, the Philadelphia zoo, Six Flags Great Adventure (the safari). I've been doing this since I was 18. The hippo's fascinate me when they are underwater. At the zoo you can only see them from the top of their swimming area, but the aquarium has underwater viewing. I can sit there for hours sometimes. They interact with people, it's not one way glass. And they really do appear to be flying, so gracefully. You'd never imagine an animal that big could be so graceful. But being an aquarium, the glass is usually dirty & sticky from children's fingers and it's very hard to get a decent shot. I originally posted that picture to my portfolio because I loved it but didn't think it was good enough for a challenge between the dirty glass and all the debris in the water. Melethia & jdannels left me comments about how great it was and I should pull it and put it in FS, so I did. And ta-da! My best score to date and I can't complain about 29 favorites either!

Will her head-on shot of the Chevy truck help get them a government bailout?

If that doesn't work, nothing will!

What's all this talk I hear of fossils/paleontology?

Well, I'm starting to feel like a fossil! And I no nothing from paleontology! LOL! But I did like my rocks/stones image and really haven't figured out why it tanked so bad.

alans_world requests:
New Jersey has a bit of a stigmatism regarding itâs lack of scenic virtues. I myself have been to Jersey City, and Newark. Tell us about the âJoyseyâ we would say âcool I would love to visit that."

Well, I'm dead smack in the middle of Jersey, so I don't pronounce it like the northerners'. Have you ever seen Kelly Ripa on TV (Regis & Kelly), I talk like her as she grew up locally to my area. LOL! Jersey City, Newark, & Camden can kind of be lumped together as "not very nice places". I'm literally 5 minutes away from center city Philadelphia and not far from NYC either, so history, culture, the arts, etc are all within easy distance. Jersey has many beautiful areas, from the Delaware River (which runs the length) to the east coast famous Jersey beaches (Long Beach Island), Ocean City and Cape May being my favorites. Local rivers and lakes and ponds are quite plentiful as well. There are many beautiful old towns, with lovely walking areas. And while there isn't much wildlife to be found in the wilds here, there are birds, and deer on occasion local to me.

meyers says:
Create a story from these images (from your favorites).

I could never in a million years come up with a story to beat Mr. Kings "It" starring Pennywise, but I'll try...

"Penny, penny? Where are you? We've got the best surprise for your birthday party? We found a clown with your name in his name! He'll do all kinds of wonderful tricks for you and your friends. His name is Pennywise!" Penny's parents beamed at her while this hideous thing leered at her from behind them.

She was scared. So scared. Why couldn't anyone else see the pointy teeth? Why would they invite this hideous monster to her birthday party? What was moving around in that balloon he was holding? It appeared alive. She was all of 6 years old yet she felt so grown up now. It really was a shame she wouldn't be around for birthday number 7. The End!

Yeah, I suck at story telling. LOL!

Very good interview - both the questions and the responses.

And that row of shots from New Jersey really does show there's a great deal of beauty there - you should work for the Chamber of Commerce! Still love that hippo. :-)

Hi Kelli,
Great job saving the NJ reputation. I can't begin to tell you how many people stop to visit us and are blown away that NJ really does deserve the nickname "The Garden State."
Keep in mind this is from the midwest gal that told my husband I would not move east. And ya know we still really like it 25 years later.
You are too tough on your story-telling prowess!

Kudos to Kelli and meyers. I still haven't been able to figure out where the hill or cherries are.
