Yep, you're a little closer to a zoo than I am though, closest one to me is Moncton (Magnetic Hill). A very small zoo. |

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A small train has derailed at the Louisville Zoo.
Mayor's representative Kerri Richardson said a total of 18 people have been transported to University Hospital and Kosair Children's Hospital.
Two people have serious injuries Other minor injuries were treated at the scene.
The Zoo Train makes a loop around the zoo. Visitors may also take half-trips from the Front Plaza station to Australia or from Australia to the Front Plaza Station.
The derailment occurred about two-thirds of the way through a complete loop, near the zoo's Gorilla Forest exhibit.
According to zoo representative Kara Bussabarger, the engine and three cars fell over. Approximately 30 people were on board at the time. |

Ok, the petting zoo has a sign out that calls it a zoo. I really need to know if this counts. Granted, they are fairly tame farm animals of one sort or another. But their sign says ZOO! ;)

I would count it and pretty much any photo of a non-domestic pet or general yard/song bird as being valid.

Oh yeah, we've got one of those here. I've posted shots from there. I guess I just don't think of baby goats as zoo animals but hopefully others will :) |

Hey Nuzzer I went to our local zoo couple weeks ago lol, hired a Canon 70-200mm 2.8.
Not sure if I want another $200 trip to the zoo so close to the last visit :(

I drove over 1-1/2 hours to get to the closest zoo and 1-1/2 hours back. The admission was $9.25. I walked around taking pictures for 45 minutes- skipped all the chain fenced animals. I had to dodge 5 bus loads of energentic kids.
That's the price you pay for retiring. |

We have a zoo. It's pretty cheap too, but I won't be going there.

well i am proud of myself. I was the 1st entry in the challenge. But that was only cos I had planned to go to the zoo with my youngest that day.
he likes what i did, so that is what counts! ((((that and being the 1st in a challenge, never done that before hehehe) |
