I've done an extensive search on DPC forums and I can't find discussion on ordering prints any larger than about 20 by 30".

A local frame shop that sells art work has taken 22 of my 20 by 30" canvas prints to sell on consignment. They have asked me to give them a complete price list for all sizes available. They are especially interested in huge prints because they sell a lot of large prints for hanging in office buildings and businesses. I'd rather not have to ask the frame shop to ask the other photogs where they get their's printed.

Where can I get prints, canvas or paper, as large as 64 by 96" (8 feet wide)?

Try some quick printers, especially the larger, well established shops. (Sir Speedy is a national chain that comes to mind, but there are many others.) One of the copier dealers I work with sells wide format inkjet printers to such places. One of the managers is a amateur photographer himself and has a forest scene across the back wall of his office.

I can see if anyone I know in the business can recommend a place in your area.

Do they print their 'posters' on photo paper? If not, how does the quality of what they call posters compare to the quality of photos on good photo paper?

What I don't want is poster paper prints that are going to be a problem with quality and fading over time.

Costco calls their 20x30" prints 'posters', when they are actually printed on Fuji Crystal Archive photo paper and the quality is great. If this company also prints on quality photo paper then this could work for me.

edit to add: I realize now that I found this company through a web search yesterday and I already ordered a sample kit.

I'm hopeful but still looking......anybody else?????

I had some printed recently on Oce printers (there's an accent mark on the e). It is a new printing process and the results were amazing. Photo quality, looks like photo paper, the inks come in balls so the printer looks like a giant gum ball machine. The paper is on rolls. Mine were 4 ft by 6 feet, done with a 4 foot roll, but they do have wider rolls. It was a "donation" so I don't know the cost. Every bit as good as a quality print.

These guys are based here in Atlanta, and everything, large and small, that I have used them for has been terrific.
