It's because every street photography "session" is like an ethnological field trip. The contact with strangeness and how you deal with it is crucial for the effect on your work. |

It's funny, when I shoot in Harlem or the South Bronx folks get quite upset sometimes...paranoid...defensive...aggressive. You get the occasional threat ("yo mutherfucker...ask before you shoot...or I'll...") which is in stark contrast to Jewish Williamsburg where the Hassids ask you what camera you have or what lens you shoot with.
It must be that B&H connection... |

| As I'm about to sit one of my University finals on monday on the topic of Mr. Cartier-Bresson and his fellow french 'togs, I feel I should give this a bash! I'll probably only be in from around mid month though as I have a degree to get. |
