Could it be that you have some other colour management software running which is interfering with the profile? Adobe Gamma, if on, will do that.

There was some color management software that came with the monitor but I thought I uninstalled it. I'll check that, but it still doesn't seem like that would explain the color differences in photoshop. But...what do I know! LOL
