I took over 300 shots of this event. I've posted the best ones on imagestation. Just looking for comments on what you guys think.
My "Orange" entry is also part of this collection.
Thanks in advance!

I like the effect you've got here. The boy in focus draws the viewer right into the image and keeps you there. Great expression.

I think this is an almost perfect shot for me. The color tone, lighting and focus all bring out the feeling and mood for me. I only wish the girl/boy that our focus is on wasn't turned away abruptly, with eyes closed. Great shot!

They were singing and chanting at the time i took the shot. I was amazed it came out so clear.. no flash or tripod at the time.
Edit: Thank you Jackcruise for adding it to your faves :)

I love the lighting on your latest posting. The candles set the mood perfectly.

Yeah, the one with the child is very good. The kind of image that actually made me want to know more about what was going on there. Not your average 'demonstration' photo for sure.
The other photos were good as well but didn't get that same magic.

I really like these photos. I was wondering if anyone had the same effect on their eyes that I did, but I didn't see any comments. When I look at it, it almost hurts my eyes, kind of like those tricks that get emailed around where the content of something on the screen (text or an image) appears to be moving or jumping out at you. Hard to explain here...
Anyway, very nice shots, I really like your work.

Very moving collection. I love the sense of drama and tension that the effect on the photo of the boy gives the viewer. I think it's my favorite of them. Great job!

I like your shots/style here. As others mentioned the way you do it causes your eyes to slam home on the intended subject....I think only that the boy's expressions could have been a bit more than confusion unless this is what you were trying to portray of the moment. It seems to be a deer cuaght in headlights look and not any real expression. Almost like bordom or disinterest. But a technically sound shot and very intriguing technique. |
