Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to paint on a layer that is sampling its color from the same spot below on the image. So as I move around the image and paint it is constantly changing the color based on the spot that I'm painting. I feel like I saw this once but can't remember how. As I'm thinking about it, it may well have been corel painter but I'm hoping some photoshop wiz on here knows how :)
Thanks for your help. |

Using the clone tool, you could create a new blank layer, select you original image set your copy point on the original to get the information then switch to the new layer and paint away. Might be close to what you are looking for.

Yup -- check the options for "Use All Layers" and "relative" position (or whatever it's called).
Even a small and inexpensive tablet/stylus is helpful for this type of activity. |
