i'd love some feedback on following pbase file. it was my first "real" outing with my newish d70.

warning: there is a lot of "pro-choice" stuff in there. just wishing for photo critique--not political.

warning: for those who disdain "snapshots" this is pretty documentary--photojournalism? either way, definitely NOT art.

thanks in advance:

i enjoy the b/w versions most, but maybe that's because they feel more journalistic to me.

great job, overall. there are a few really choice ones in there.

If you don't think those black and white tee-shirt shots are art you're crazy!

Very nice collection of images.

I really like the B&W versions of the shots you posted. I think it was the overcast weather that made some of the shots not give the punch that it should have.

A overall good collection of shots. I had to lol on this shot because it unusually with the masked people behind and the guy just posing.

I think you got some really great shots, both of the larger crowd "feel" and some of the "characters" found at such gatherings.

I would say journalistic type photography is certainly an art. While I am definitely not pro-choice, I did enjoy looking through your shots.

I, too, like the b & w's and agree with JPR re. the two T-shirt shots. I think these are exciting beyond the point of a document, because of the broader range of the statement and sense captured in them.

The colour ones are good, IMO, for the more immediate purpose you intended for them.

thanks. i guess i was referring to the file as a whole and my general approach to this outing which was more a journalistic effort than an artistic one--i do appreciate the compliment though.

thanks to all for your comments; best regards,
